Hm, seems I haven't updated in a while! No, I'm not dead. At least I don't think so....

I've been busy. Things are changing, and I'm adjusting. I recently received a promotion at work, so I'm working full time now. That's definitely taking some getting used to, but the pay increase and new responsibilities make it very worth while. Over the last week, I've also moved my studio to a different part of the house. It's a lot roomier than being crammed in the bedroom, and it feels more ... homey. As of today, I have shelves and the space is organized and mostly functional. Just a couple more steps, and I'll be ready to get crackin'!

I've also been teaching myself XHTML and CSS. It's been a lot of fun and a little bit of a challenge. I like a good challenge, though, and it's been a while since I've dove headfirst into something like this. I realize learning HTML isn't *really* necessary for web design these days, but I figured it would be a good foundation anyway. Hopefully I'll start putting together the bare bones of a site for my webcomic soon...

...which brings me to my next topic: ARTS! If hasn't been too thrilling lately, it's most likely because I haven't been working on my webcomic at all for ... a while. I need a new website (which I am determined to build myself), a new coloring technique (the one I'm using *looks* good, but is very time consuming), a new computer (which, thanks to my promotion, is being built slowly as we speak), and a little more planning ahead. I'd like to turn it into an enterprise at some point, but that's going to take a LOT of work I'm not quite ready to do yet. So, until then, disEnchanted is stewing on the back burner... Before Christmas, I'll have finished a project for a friend: a children's story book! So far, I have some character sketches and that's about it. Fortunately, the designs are pretty simple, so I should definitely have time to get it all done. I hope...
